WHAT IS HATHA YOGA?
Moving meditation that focuses on obtaining mind-centred awareness through connection to the breath, using a series of Asanas or postures. With regular practice you learn to train the mind and body to reach a greater state of relaxation.
WHAT IS ASHTANGA YOGA?
Ashtanga Yoga is what Claudia calls Warrior Yoga that focuses on strengthening and stabilising your physical self so that you can go deeper mentally and spiritually.
TOOLS USED DURING THE CLASS
Sound and chanting
Pranayama – Breath techniques – to open and clear the energy centres
Stress makes blood more acidic, which over time removes acid from the blood
Relaxation makes blood more alkaline
Increased blood circulation
Improvement in digestive and eliminative processes
More effective muscle performance
Increased security in balance
All Yogic postures form a circuit of energy, allowing us to plug into the healing energy naturally available within us
